wow oh my god this is so embarrassing for you you actually have the wrong number i have never been to magnus bane's house and i sure as shit won't be going back there
I've looked into that guy, he seems okay I'm not sure what else you wanted me to do he's the son of a demon and he can do some pretty powerful magic, but as far as I can tell he doesn't seem like a bad guy
listen i know you said that the block of cheddar cheese is supposed to be saved for whatever you're making for dinner this weekend so i shouldn't eat it before then but hear me out
um well it's great for me i don't know if my roommate appreciates it quite as much i might have gone a little overboard
( attached is a picture of the shitty little down rooms, at least one half of which seems to be pretty jam packed with various different plants. he got bored, okay??? )
( louis's text comes well into the next evening after that terrible network post goes up. he still doesn't know what to say, whether his saying something is even welcome, but he can't stop thinking about his poor gentle friend and how cruelly he'd been treated by this city. )
( unfortunately — or maybe fortunately — louis' message swings right past the short span of misery that nick allowed and lands somewhere in the middle of a hard stage of denial instead. he's not in, and he's definitely not sober.
he is chattier, though. )
ohhhhhh no you shouldnt have looked it wasnt very nice i actually will not be home for the very foreseeable future but u can come for a drink if u want :)
[ Ragnor has been keyed into the wards, which means a Gift Bag can appear in Nick's room. It comes with a handwritten note reading "I've been collecting things I thought you might like, I hope at least some land as intended. Happy Birthday, R.F." ]
( maybe he feels like showing off a little, because nick's response comes in the form of a fire message a few hours later, in his usual messy scrawl: )
I'm taking this as permission to day drink. Thanks for everything, N x
[ The video clip shows Kyle's cell from above. It's been expertly put together that shows him working out in his cell.
Not that Kyle needs to work out anymore, but he's trying to do his best to keep busy and not to think and exercise has always helped him to clear his mind.
Using a bench in his cell to do sit ups, his hooks locked around the bench and his torso hanging off the end. The angle highlights his abs, the tight tone of his body and how he looks all stretched out, his body barely gleaming in the low light of the cell.
There's video of him doing pull ups on the beams above his head, using his own body weight to make it more challenging, the angle of the camera highlighting the width of his back as his half nude form flexes for a camera he doesn't know is there.
There's never a time he's aware of the camera, working to keep himself busy, to not think about what's to come after his time in jail. Yet the entire video certainly shows him off at his best angles as it end with push ups, the camera directly over him, showing the length of his body, using only one hand and one foot, the arm behind his back and his foot raised.
No he doesn't need these workouts now, but he likes the focus and it leaves him feeling more human every time he works out. ]
( the problem is, the network misfiring does make it very confusing. like, is kyle actually sending him workout videos or is it the glitching business? and if it's an accident, does it make it weird to watch for so long? and if it's not, is it weird that he's waiting so long to respond?
in the end it doesn't really matter — once he's watched it through, and then skipped through again, nick just calls kyle. the device gets jammed between his ear and his shoulder, and he stares up at the ceiling, fingers drumming hard against his chest. )
Hey question.....have you been getting into creative cinematography lately or is someone trying to torment me?
