( noah doesn't often do distinctly ghostly things around nick, so he's not really expecting the guy to just appear next to him. if he starts it's only minimal though, it's not really a jump scare. more like the blink-and-you'll-miss-it sensation that noah was always there, even if nick knows that he wasn't.

he smiles all the same though, steps in and winds an arm loose around his neck. )

[Something Noah appreciates about Nick, especially in this moment, is how easily tactile he is. The contact bolsters him and he puts an arm around Nick's back in return. Slightly tighter than usual for a casual greeting.]
