( HE WILL LET HIMSELF IN. he won't even knock first.
honestly, pierce looks perfectly at leisure for a guy sporting a few broken bones. if it wasn't for the odd way his left arm is hanging, he would seem otherwise fine. pulling off his sunglasses, he tosses them on top of the nearest surface along with his car keys. )
( nick, very evidently, is not at all concerned about intruders. he's just sort of lounging sprawled across the couch, and he doesn't raise his head when the door opens, just when he hears a voice. )
So you did survive, good work.
( he hauls himself into a more tidy position, sitting up and tucking a leg up under him so that there's space next to him on the couch. a burnt-out roach that he's been holding onto for a while now gets tossed into the already full ash tray, and nick pats the cushion next to him with the kind of smile that's only worn by the already high. )
Come on then, before your arm falls off or some shit.
( he probably shouldn't be moving so much. who really knows if he made things worse for himself along the way? joining nick on the couch, he plops down unceremoniously, spreading his legs and taking up an unnecessary amount of space in one go. )
My arm's swollen and I can't move it well. ( he angles his body slightly, gesturing towards it. ) See?
You wouldn't notice if you were made of glass, so that's basically the same thing.
( despite that nick still shifts in closer, leaning over to inspect the arm with a suitably disgusted look on his face all the while. pierce might not feel it, but he's still careful about the way he takes hold of his wrist, gentle about pulling the arm a little closer. )
This is gross, ( he comments helpfully, but there's already a tingling heat rising across pierce's skin and localising around the break. it would be painful if it was anyone else, nick's particular brand of healing isn't an instant fix — it's knitting bone and tissue and flesh back together, willing it all back into place bit by bit, and that usually hurts.
but. it's pierce, so nick just makes a face at him as he goes. ) like I know it's not the worst you've done, but it's still pretty gross.
I landed on it badly! ( he motions at his arm again with a flick of his wrist. ) Did I not say that I fell from the third fuckin' floor, mate?
( it does look pretty gross though, he'll give him that. can't wait to hear what nick has to say about the rest of his body because there are def bruises forming.
he doesn't need to feel them to know that. ) Just... do your thing already.
